Aswang is a reimagining of Peque Gallaga and Lore Reye's 1992 film.
The new version tells the story of two kids who witness the murder of their parents and who escape unwittingly into a town plagued by a subspecies of aswangs called Ab-wak (Aswang-Bayawak-Uwak).
Terrorized by the monster and assassins running after them, the two kids are helped by a beautiful mysterious woman who's part of the Ab-wak clan named Hasmin.
Things get complicated when Daniel, one of the assassins, falls in love with Hasmin and decides to help her in her plan to escape her fate as a queen of the Ab-waks.
Will their love be enough to save them or will it destroy them?
